2023 Wrap Up | Outreach & Events
A pivotal year for RESO, 2023 saw many important firsts in Canada and globally. In addition to launching EXNW Global Summit, RESO organized and/or took part in many events, summits, festivals, making sure RESO is widely recognized as one of Canada’s racial equity non-profit organizations.
RESO had delegations attend Prime Time and Content Canada, creating opportunities for networking for racialized creatives.
RESO had the privilege of hosting Creating Cross-Border Content: How Hudson Yang went from Fresh Off The Boat to Food TV. Taking place at Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden, attendees took part in a conversation with star Hudson Yang and executive producer and journalist, Jeff Yang.
Last but not least, RESO was thrilled to go to Asia TV Forum in Singapore as part of a Canadian group. With support from Creative BC, CMPA, and Telefilm, RESO engaged with Singapore's media community, met with private and public sector partners from Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, and India, made exciting connections with global industry players in the Asia-Pacific, and gained valuable insights into the co-production landscape.
